Cartoon Carnival #44: Puppet Party!

It’s time to sit back and relax for Cartoon Carnival #44! We’ll be partying with some two hours’ worth of 16mm (no digital!) stop-motion animation and puppet films from the 1920s to the 1950s, straight from the Stathes Archives to the silver screen at Standard ToyKraft. As part of the program, there will also be a RARE interactive early 1950s kiddie TV show kinescope—complete with a brief drawing lesson, so bring your art skills (and plenty of friends)!

Note: We were originally going to have some live puppet acts as part of this event, but that aspect could not be arranged in time, so we will do this at a later puppet-themed show at Standard ToyKraft.

Show tix $10 at the door.
Light refreshments will be available for purchase from Standard ToyKraft.

Doors at 7:30pm; show starts soon thereafter. Arrive on time for good seats!
Tommy Stathes is a "Cartoon Cryptozoologist" with a rare film print collection comprised of over 1,500 shorts. Tommy's long term goal has been to acquire and preserve as many early animated films as possible and reintroduce them to the public. For more information about his activities, check out and
