After being dispossessed of her lands and station, the princess Rosalind dresses as a boy and flees into the forest of Arden to search for a better kind of love. The play interrogates the very idea of what love is, and in the end leaves us with a shimmering vision of four kinds of relationships.
Stairwell Theater are staging Shakespeare’s masterpiece in a mingling of the modern, site-specific tradition and the rough, accessible style of Shakespeare’s outdoor playhouses. Join us at the beautiful Standard ToyKraft in Williamsburg, to feast and carouse with the actors as we learn about loss, life and love in the Forest of Arden.
